Character Licensing

As Devon Hansen’s Heartpeople® art continued to develop, it became obvious that her work had great potential as a licensed intellectual property. In 2004, Ms. Hansen joined forces with a group of dedicated professionals to form an organization designed to license her Heartpeople® artwork worldwide.

Statement of Corporate Purpose and Mission

In addition to its role as the exclusive business representative for all Ms. Hansen’s creative endeavors, Heartpeople® Inc. was even more importantly created to act as the conduit for the channeling of the proceeds from those creative endeavors to a group of service-oriented initiatives that are grounded in Devon Hansen’s interest in addressing the human anguish associated with human suffering. This highly focused sense of purpose is centered in Ms. Hansen’s personal experience with these issues and her commitment to participating with service initiatives intended to address their appropriate needs and resolution.

The channeling of these resources back to the community at large is the fundamental purpose of Heartpeople® Inc. As stated in its corporate mission statement below, Heartpeople® Inc. will act as a revenue-generating and coordinating platform for the creative endeavors of Devon Hansen, but it will do so with the non-profit purpose of channeling the proceeds of those revenue-generating activities back to the worldwide community: The fundamental mission of Heartpeople® Inc. is to be a purpose-driven non-profit corporation that exists to be of service to all of our fellow men, women and children.

As corporate officers and trustees, we intend to carry out our mission by facilitating opportunities for joy and learning through our responsible participation in the design and development of purpose-driven Heartpeople® media, products and services. In addition, we also intend to lead our organization by encouraging a sense of awareness, respect, accountability and openness in every person we encounter.

Our number one priority is our heartfelt service mission, and although the generation and distribution of monetary resources will be part of our corporate reality, we refuse to permit selfishness and irresponsibility to compromise the integrity of our intent and the priorities of our mutual sense of purpose.
