A Message of Love
Devon also brings the magic of her special Heartpeople® character artwork to kids through special presentations and workshops that focus on building self-esteem and appreciating differences in others and in ourselves. Devon encourages kids to draw their own Heartpeople® as she delivers her message of love, self-worth and ‘daring to be different.’
Devon’s experience has taught her that kids are very special little people and her work with children dramatically demonstrates how much she really cares about their well-being and their potential.

Devon’s art has a special way of bringing people of all ages, races, and nationalities together. At a Devon event, you will see how her art brings people together. It’s typical to see a wide range of people welcome at her events: children, poor along with wealthy, people of color and many nationalities. Devon has spent much of her time working with children in her gallery and in schools.
Children move from being insecure when they draw to “Look Devon what I turned this mistake into.” They line up for her to autograph their arms or book bags as if she is the pied piper! But most importantly they feel safe to share with Devon what is troubling their hearts. It is not uncommon for Devon to embrace a child as she comforts and supports their personal issues.
